Acceptable Use / Code of Conduct / Policies¶
Use of the MGHPCC AI Computing Resource (AICR) requires that all users of the system(s) adhere to all Federal and State laws as well as the guidelines and policies set forth by AICR and the user's home institution.
Acceptable Use of Resources¶
AICR/MGHPCC systems are intended for research associated with the participating AICR institutions (hereafter referred to as 'home institution') and MGHPCC-supported projects. It is not to be used for any purpose that might be construed as illegal or criminal. Datasets on the system must have been obtained legitimately and the system is not to be used for working with non-anonymized data or data subject to security restrictions, data use agreements, or contracts requiring sequestration, encryption-at-rest, or which otherwise require data security levels beyond what AICR provides. If you are unsure about a planned use, please contact your home institution support for guidance.
Account holders should not share accounts and should take reasonable precautions to ensure that credentials for accessing the AICR systems (passwords, ssh keys, etc.) are kept secure. All account holders agree to respect requests from support staff around acceptable or proper use of the system. The support staff may, as needed, impose whatever policies are required to ensure the system runs well for all projects on the system.
Code of Conduct¶
AICR is a shared resource used by a wide community. All people involved in its use and operations should try their utmost to be courteous and respectful at all times. Account holders are also expected to respect privacy of others activities on the system, and not to attempt to gain access to parts of the system they are not explicitly authorized to access.
Adherence to Home Institution Policies¶
In addition to the rules and policies applicable to and set forth by AICR, each account holder and user of the AICR system is bound by the policies and guidelines put forth by their home institutions. This includes but is not limited to the security and data requirements outlined by that institution.
If you are unclear on a policy or where your home institution's rule apply, please contact your local institution's support for guidance.
Acknowledgment¶
As a requirement of use for the AICR system, please provide acknowledgement of the use of the system in publications using results using AICR. See Acknowledging AICR for text you can use.
